Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Legal Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal support, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and safeguarding the company's interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to support company operations and decision-making.
- Document Drafting: Prepare, review, and finalize legal documents such as contracts, NDAs, MoUs, service agreements, and pleadings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Compliance Management: Ensure that all legal documents and processes comply with applicable laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal developments and industry trends.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients and stakeholders to gather necessary information, provide updates, and address any legal questions or concerns.
- Trial Preparation: Assist in preparing for legal proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions, by gathering evidence, organizing exhibits, and preparing witness lists.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to senior legal staff as required, including organizing files, maintaining calendars, and tracking deadlines.
Qualifications
- Education: LLB from an accredited law school.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a legal environment or similar role.
- Licensure: Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialization: Experience in technology law or related fields.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of legal issues related to Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and other technology domains relevant to Metayb's services.
