Job Title: Senior Legal Associate

Location:- Mumbai

Experience- 2Yrs PQE

Its an investment banking firm offering bespoke strategic and financial advisory services. Our core verticals include:

Fundraising (debt and equity)

Corporate restructuring (M&A, JVs, financial reengineering)

Investment facilitation

Responsblities:-

Represent the clients before the Supreme Court, High Courts, Tribunals, and other quasi-judicial and regulatory authorities. (Specifically SAT i.e Securities Appellate Tribunal)

Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and financial transactions, ensuring strict compliance with relevant legal frameworks.

Lead and oversee litigation and dispute resolution proceedings, minimizing legal risks and ensuring optimal outcomes.

Draft, vet, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents.

Provide legal advisory on matters under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), including resolution processes and asset recovery mechanisms.

Perform in-depth legal research and interpretation of laws including the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, FEMA, IRDAI guidelines, and other regulatory statutes.

Coordinate with internal departments and external counsel to address regulatory issues, compliance matters, and legal investigations.

Support client negotiations, investor communications, and legal aspects of corporate structuring.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) Mandatory

Master of Laws (LL.M) Preferred
