Overview
The L&D Lead will be responsible for building and strengthening the internal learning ecosystem. This role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering impactful learning programs, managing the Learning Management System (LMS) (e.g., ZOHO LMS), and collaborating with cross-functional HR teams to support talent development, performance management, and organizational growth.
The role will also involve creating structured learning plans for new joiners and existing employees across all departments, ensuring capability-building at every level. The individual should be able to support the scaling of the L&D function by developing team readiness, standardizing processes, and driving continuous improvement as the organization grows.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage internal learning initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee end-to-end management of the LMS, including course creation, user management, reporting, and optimization.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to identify skill gaps and develop targeted learning interventions.
- Create structured training calendars, development journeys, onboarding learning paths, and capability-building plans.
- Maintain training records, dashboards, and insights to track learning effectiveness and compliance.
- Design and deliver learning content such as modules, presentations, guides, and assessments.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized programs when required.
- Integrate L&D with performance management, competency frameworks, and talent development strategies.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training quality, accessibility, and employee engagement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, psychology, education, business, or related fields.
- 37 years of experience in learning & development (specialist/manager level depending on seniority).
- Hands-on experience in managing LMS platforms (Zoho LMS preferred).
- Strong instructional design, content development, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management abilities.
- Ability to analyze training metrics and create impactful insights.
- Familiarity with performance management and competency frameworks is an advantage.
Preferred Attributes
- Certifications in Instructional Design / Facilitation / Behavioral Training.
- Experience with digital learning tools, authoring tools, and blended learning methods.
- Exposure to corporate HR environments and cross-functional collaboration.
