Purpose of the role

The Learning Business Partner (LBP) - GIC is a strategic learning leader responsible for shaping, delivering, and scaling leadership and core capability development across the Global India Center (GIC). This role partners closely with senior business leaders, HRBPs, and global learning teams to ensure learning strategies are business-led, future-focused, and aligned to enterprise priorities.

The role is function-agnostic, with a strong emphasis on leadership & professional development, core enterprise capabilities, and growth-enabling skills, ensuring the GIC is equipped to scale sustainably and deliver increasing enterprise value.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Business Partnership

Partner with senior business leaders and HRBPs to assess performance needs, capability gaps, and future skill requirements across the GIC.

Translate business strategy, talent priorities, and market insights into a clear, business-led learning agenda.

Anticipate future leadership and capability needs to support GIC growth, transformation, and enterprise integration.

Learning Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Shape and prioritize the GIC learning portfolio, with emphasis on:
  • -Leadership & professional development
  • -Core enterprise capabilities
  • -Skills required for scale, agility, and innovation
  • Align investments to enterprise learning frameworks, standards, and global priorities.
  • Drive clarity on learning plans/curricula for various career stages, and value creation across the learning roadmap.

Solution Design & Development

  • Partner with Learning Architects to co-design enterprise-consistent learning journeys and academies.
  • Ensure learning is embedded in the flow of work and leverages modern approaches (digital, AI-enabled, blended, coaching).
  • Sponsor program design to ensure relevance, scalability, and business impact.
  • Broker and manage engagement with SMEs, vendors, and external partners.

Deployment & Change Leadership

  • Champion learning rollouts across the GIC, securing sponsorship and advocacy from business leaders.
  • Partner with Communications, HRBPs, and delivery teams to enable effective change management and adoption.
  • Drive shared ownership of learning outcomes between the business and learning teams.

Impact Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Co-own learning impact and business outcome measurement.
  • Establish and maintain a content governance framework for the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure that all learning materials are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Review performance data, adoption metrics, and ROI indicators to inform continuous improvement.
  • Build and share business impact stories and case studies that demonstrate the value of learning investments.

People Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, coach, and develop the GIC Learning COE team.
  • Set clear priorities, expectations, and ways of working aligned to enterprise learning standards.
  • Build team capability in strategic consulting, stakeholder partnership, and outcome-based learning design.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.

MINIMUM QUALIFI CATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in Learning, Talent Development, or HR, with strong business partnership exposure
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong background in leadership development and enterprise capability building
  • Experience operating in complex, global, matrixed environments
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across stakeholders
  • Comfort leveraging digital, AI-enabled, and modern learning approaches
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills to demonstrate impact and ROI
