Job Title: Senior Transportation Planner/ Lead Transportation Planner

K&A Engineering Consultants, part of K&A Global Holding, is a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy ranked among the top international design firms in the Middle East.
We are looking for a Senior Transportation Planner to join our Transport Planning & Traffic Engineering team. The role involves delivering transportation master plans, traffic impact assessments, and demand modeling studies while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct traffic data collection and analysis (traffic counts, surveys, etc.)
- Develop and review traffic models and simulations in coordination with modeling teams
- Perform trip generation, OD matrix development, and traffic forecasting
- Prepare transportation master plans, traffic impact assessments (TIA), and road safety studies
- Develop circulation layouts, parking plans, and signage drawings
- Review and validate reports with clients and authorities
- Perform peer reviews and guide junior team members
Experience
- 8+ years in Transportation Planning / Traffic Engineering
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Transportation Planning / Traffic Engineering / Urban Planning (preferred)
Required Skills
- Strong experience in transport modelling / traffic modelling / demand forecasting
- Hands-on experience with tools like VISUM, VISSIM, Synchro, SIDRA, HCS, AutoTURN, CUBE
- Knowledge of traffic impact studies, mobility planning, and road safety audits
- Understanding of international standards and design codes
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills
