Role
As a Lead Technical Program Manager - RTE, you will be responsible for:
- Serving as a Release Train Engineer (RTE), expertly driving all Program Increment (PI) ceremonies within an Essential SAFe or Portfolio SAFe setup.
- Operating with a high degree of independence and autonomy in managing complex technical programs.
- Defining and building cloud-native software products as a platform at scale, demonstrating a deep understanding of platform capabilities and underlying technologies.
- Breaking down intricate problems, organizing work effectively, planning sprints, and delivering technical programs using agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Leading programs focused on defining and building scalable cloud-native software products as a platform.
- Diving deep into platform capabilities and underlying technologies to gain a thorough understanding.
- Applying data-driven decision-making and implementing continuous improvement methodologies across teams.
- Engaging in strategic debates on delivery approaches with business teams, architects, engineers, and designers.
- Communicating with impact, eloquence, and authenticity to executives, peers, and staff.
- Building strong relationships, partnering with, and influencing dependent teams while earning the respect of colleagues across the organization.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working as a Release Train Engineer (RTE), driving all PI ceremonies in an Essential SAFe or Portfolio SAFe setup.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with independence and autonomy.
- Experience defining and building cloud-native software products as a platform at scale, with a deep understanding of those platforms capabilities and underlying technologies.
- Demonstrated experience breaking down problems, organizing work, planning sprints, and delivering technical programs in agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Experience working on programs to define and build cloud-native software products as a platform at scale.
- Enjoys diving deep to understand the platforms capabilities and underlying technologies.
- Proven track record of data-driven decision-making and applying continuous improvement methodologies across teams.
- Ability to debate the delivery strategy with business teams, architects, engineers, and designers.
- Ability to communicate to executives, peers, and and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity.
- Demonstrated experience building relationships, partnering with and influencing dependent teams while commanding the respect of the individuals you work with across the organization.
- Huge plus if you have expertise in Payments, IaaS, PaaS, serverless technology, CI/CD, NoSQL databases, microservices APIs, and distributed systems operations in a DevOps model.
- 5-7 years of technical program delivery experience is a huge plus.
