Job Description

We are seeking a Lead System Engineer - NetApp SRE to join our team.

This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced storage solutions in a dynamic environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency of enterprise storage systems.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain NetApp ONTAP storage solutions in both on-premises and cloud environments
  • Provision, modify, and decommission NetApp volumes, exports, and CIFS/SMB shares
  • Perform routine operational tasks such as monitoring, capacity assessments, performance troubleshooting, and basic system tuning
  • Support the integration of storage systems with Active Directory and DNS, including CIFS server configuration, access control, and share permissions
  • Participate in incident and problem management as L2 support, troubleshoot issues, and escalate to L3/lead or vendor when necessary
  • Assist with disaster recovery configurations and activities, including SnapMirror replication setup and basic failover or failback tasks under guidance
  • Execute patching and upgrade activities in accordance with established standards and runbooks
  • Contribute to automation initiatives using scripts or infrastructure as code under guidance, and maintain up-to-date documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in storage engineering or administration, with hands-on expertise in NetApp ONTAP
  • Strong understanding of NFS and CIFS/SMB protocols, including basic performance and troubleshooting concepts
  • Familiarity with NetApp concepts such as SVMs, volumes, aggregates, snapshots, and basic replication
  • Experience integrating storage solutions with Active Directory and DNS for CIFS/SMB shares and access control
  • Proven ability to support production environments and manage incidents and changes using standard ITSM processes
  • Ability to read and follow technical runbooks and procedures, and to document solutions clearly and accurately
  • Fluent English skills (written and spoken) at a B2+ level or higher
