Marsh India Knowledge Service is seeking a skilled professional to join our Property Risk Consulting team, based in Mumbai or Gurugram. This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days per week working onsite / in the office.
As a part of the Marsh Risk Consulting team in Knowledge Services function, we are seeking a professional to support a broad spectrum of projects for the Property Risk Consulting, Pacific team. The selected candidate would help in identification, quantification and management of property / physical assets related risks.
The services offered by this practice are focused on risk engineering / risk management, including the use of property / infrastructure engineering fundamentals and natural catastrophe loss modelling analysis to support risk analysis and risk action planning activities.
We will count on you to:
- Prepare detailed and accurate property risk survey proposals using standardised templates, including initial drafts and coordination of survey fee calculations.
- Scope survey work precisely by liaising with clients and brokers, organising site visits, coordinating field logistics, and managing project documentation.
- Support the Natural Catastrophe (NATCAT) team by assisting with modelling efforts, developing concise research summaries, and integrating data with GIS tools.
- Develop and maintain analytics tools and standardised templates, e.g. Maximum Foreseeable Loss (MFL) study tools, to improve assessment accuracy and reporting efficiency.
- Manage administrative follow-up on Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs) by coordinating with clients to monitor progress at individual sites.
- Identify and address team development needs by compiling training materials, facilitating knowledge sharing, conducting research by preparing summary reports, and enhancing resources with visual aids.
- Strictly adhere to all established Property Risk Consulting standard operating procedures to maintain compliance, quality assurance, and operational excellence throughout all consulting activities.
What you need to have:
- A graduate with a degree in Engineering (e.g. Structural, Mechanical, Chemical, Fire) or related discipline.
- 4-6 years of experience working within a risk and/or insurance environment.
- Exposure in managing/coordinating in Property Risk Consulting projects/activities.
What makes you stand out
- Prior experience in the property risk and/or insurance environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of NFPA and FM standards.
- Knowledge of, or prior experience, in Natural Catastrophe Loss Modelling.
- Commitment to providing high-level client service.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Medium to Advanced technical property risk expertise, including conducting inspections, performing research, and preparing detailed reports.
- Excellent time management capabilities to prioritise tasks and ensure timely project completion.
- Proven interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to foster collaborative working relationships.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High levels of enthusiasm and self-motivation to drive continuous improvement and achieve objectives.
