Job Title:Lead Software Engineer (WMOS)

Business Unit:WSI Corporate Technology, Pune

Overview Of The Role

The Lead Software Engineer (WMOS Java) will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting highly scalable warehouse management solutions that support Williams-Sonoma's global supply chain. This role is hands-on and technical, requiring strong Java development expertise, deep understanding of Manhattan Associates WMOS, and the ability to lead complex integrations and production-grade systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and extensions supporting Manhattan WMOS
  • Lead technical design and implementation of WMOS integrations with enterprise systems such as ERP, MHE, and ProShip
  • Develop and maintain microservices and APIs supporting warehouse and fulfillment operations
  • Write and optimize PL/SQL code to support WMOS data processing and integrations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues by analyzing WMOS logs and system behavior in Linux/Unix environments
  • Ensure performance, scalability, security, and reliability of WMOS-related applications
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering, operations, and support teams
  • Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring for development team members
  • Support system upgrades, deployments, and release activities
  • Drive adherence to coding standards, best practices, and SDLC processes

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience in software development with strong Java expertise
  • Hands-on experience developing and supporting Manhattan Associates WMOS
  • Strong Java/J2EE development experience
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and relational database concepts
  • Good understanding or working knowledge of microservices architecture
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management processes including inventory, order fulfillment, and pick-pack-ship
  • Experience with MHE integration and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of ProShip integration is a plus
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments with ability to analyze WMOS logs
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
