About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer [Platform Maturity]forCoreBanking Platformteam which aims to deliver enterprise level capabilities forCustomer Account Ledger and Transaction Processing.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
- 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent.
- 5+ years experience working with one or more CI/CD Pipeline (GitHub), Harness/Spinnaker & Release management.
- 5+ years Experience with either of Cloud & Container technologies: PCF/AKS/Azure/OCP/K8s.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is important for packaging and deploying applications in containers and orchestrating them across multiple machines
- Engineering and development experienceonmiddleware messaging platforms: IBM MQ. Solace & Confluent Kafka.
- Hands-on experience witheither of Cloud& Container technologies: PCF/AKS/Azure/OCP/K8s.
- Hands on experience with Automation Scripting: Bash, Shell, Terraform, Azure DevOps
- Experience in setting up and using Observability/Monitoring tools: Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, AppDynamics, Kafka, Big Panda, Splunk
- Service Now experience a plus
- Experience withlarge scale planning of strategies (from a platform setup and optimization point)
- Knowledgeondatabase technologies: MongoDB, SQL/No SQL DB.
- Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings)
- A handson engineer responsible for building robust Java-based services while driving Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps practices to ensure scalability, automation, and high system availability.
- Proficiencyin scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong communicationand collaboration skills are essential for working with developers, operations teams, and other stakeholders
- Proficiencyin using GitHub Actions and other version control systems is essential for managing code and deployments
- Should have worked with one or more CI/CD Pipeline (GitHub, Jenkins), Releasemanagementand Automation tools: Gradle, Maven, Git
