In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Overall 10+ years of experience in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, and API testing frameworks.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and cloud-based test environments.
  • Knowledge of payment messaging standards (ISO 8583, ISO 20022).
  • GenAI, Agnetic AI, Co-pilot.
  • Define and implement automation strategies for payment systems and processes.
  • Lead a team of automation engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Establish best practices for automation development and maintenance.
  • Design and maintain robust automation frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Integrate automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
  • Ensure compatibility of automation scripts with multiple payment platforms and environments.
  • Develop automation solutions for ACH, RTGS/Wires, SWIFT, ISO 20022, and real-time payment systems.
  • Validate compliance with regulatory standards (AML, PCI DSS) through automated checks.
  • Support migration and modernization projects with automated validation scripts.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in agile environments.


Job Expectations:

  • Will be required to work in the office as per organizations In Office Adherence / Return To Office (RTO)
  • The Automation Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing automation frameworks and strategies within the Payments Technology domain. This role ensures efficient, secure, and scalable automation solutions for payment processing systems, reducing manual intervention and improving operational resilience.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables through automated test coverage and reporting.
  • Monitor and optimize automation execution for performance and reliability.
  • Provide detailed reports on automation outcomes and defect trends.
  • Work closely with QA, development, and business teams to align automation goals.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions on automation tools and practices.
  • Communicate automation progress, risks, and benefits to stakeholders.
