We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer specializing in SAP ABAP to drive cutting-edge development and innovation in SAP environments.
You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing robust SAP solutions, supporting both technical and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the adaptation of legacy ABAP code to S/4HANA standards, including CDS views and modern syntax
- Oversee customization of SAP standard functionality using enhancements, user exits, and BADIs
- Facilitate the development and consumption of OData services for Fiori applications
- Manage seamless data exchange between SAP and external systems utilizing IDOCs, BAPIs, and Sproxy
- Optimize application performance with advanced tuning and debugging techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on SAP retail domain solutions (if applicable)
- Ensure compliance with SPDD, SPAU, and SPAU_ENH during SAP upgrades or migrations
Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in SAP ABAP programming with a strong foundation in core ABAP syntax and tools
- Expertise in S/4HANA remediation processes, including CDS views and modern syntax
- Demonstrated knowledge of enhancement techniques such as user exits and BADIs
- Proficiency in OData services, Fiori, and UI5 development
- Competency in SAP integration techniques, including IDOCs, BAPIs, and Sproxy
- Skills in performance tuning and debugging using SAP tools
- Background in SAP retail functional domain

- Knowledge of HANA Repository and HDI
- Familiarity with functional aspects of SAP retail systems
