About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Define the architecture, patterns, and best practices for enterprise integration.
- Lead the design of highscale, faulttolerant integration solutions.
- Own the integration technology roadmap and contribute to platform strategy.
- Drive complex crossplatform modernization efforts.
- Lead development of enterprise connectors, integration frameworks, reusable components, and automation accelerators.
- Oversee realtime integrations using REST/GraphQL and eventstreaming systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
- Ensure reliability, resiliency, and observability across integration layers.
- Architect and review REST/GraphQL API ecosystems across products.
- Drive cloudnative integration designs using Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker.
- Own CI/CD strategy, GitOps workflows, and automation pipelines for integration delivery.
- Guide design of highperformance ETL/ELT workflows.
- Work with SQL/NoSQL/datastore architectures to scale data movement.
- Ensure endtoend data quality, lineage, governance, and auditability.
- Mentor engineers across levels lead technical workstreams and guilds.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and business partners.
- Participate in capacity planning, roadmap alignment, and technical assessments.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of handson engineering experience with strong integration expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Deep experience with:
- API engineering at scale
- Integration frameworks and enterprise integration patterns
- Kafka/RabbitMQ/event streaming
- ETL/ELT solutions and large data integration workloads
- Strong understanding of distributed architecture, cloud native design, and hybrid deployment models.
- Proven experience with AWS/Azure/GCP/OCP.
- Strong knowledge of API security, OAuth, JWT, encryption, certificates.
- 5+ years of application development and implementation experience
- Expertise with CI/CD (GitHub, Jenkins, pipelines-as-code) and SDLC automation.
- Experience contributing to or managing large-scale frameworks across multiple programming languages.
- Exposure to GenAI integrations in engineering workflows (e.g., Copilot extensibility, automated code remediation).
Knowledge of cloud-native design (Kubernetes, containers, service mesh). - Familiarity with developer portal ecosystems, plugin systems, or IDP integrations.
Background in platform engineering, technical risk management, or architecture functions. - Work Location - Bangalore or Hyderabad
