Your Impact

We are seeking a talented and motivated DB and DevOps Lead Software Engineer to join our team. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in evaluating architecture, designing software solutions, database design, performance turning, leading technical decisions and maintaining software solutions. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate high-level requirements into actionable plans, and lead other team members to successful project execution. The OpenText Application Delivery Management (ADM) solutions allow customers to deliver more and better software, faster that their competitors. They allow customers to automate DevOps, make the most of value stream management (VSM), and accelerate burdensome activities across their digital value streamfrom planning, through development and testing, all the way to delivery.

What The Role Offers:

• DB: Proficiency in SQL Programming, writing stored procedures and designing relational databases.
• CI/CD & Automation: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/GitLab CI. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Management: Work with AWS to build and maintain scalable infrastructure. Manage Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Ensure smooth operation of Windows, Linux, and Mac environments.
• Configuration & Package Management: Handle SCM products for software configuration management. Manage Artifactory for binary repository and artifact storage.
• Containerization & Deployment: Work with Docker for containerized applications. Manage installation technologies and deployment strategies across platforms.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Requirements Translation: Translate high-level business requirements into technical plans. Youll work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
• End-to-End Development Lifecycle: Understanding of the entire software development lifecycle, including unit testing, end-to-end testing, and deployment processes.
• Customers approach: Customer facing approach, ability to work with customers is a must.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of proven experience as a DB developer using Microsoft SQL Server and other databases.
• Excellent knowledge of database concepts such as replication, performance tuning, creating databases and database partitioning.
• Proficiency in Jenkins, Terraform, AWS, Docker, and Artifactory.
• Experience with SCM tools, and software packaging.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure setup, code signing, and security best practices.
• Strong expertise in Windows, Linux, and Mac environments.
• Fundamentally good programming and debugging skills
• Good scripting experience.
• Architecture and design experience
• Ability to look at product architectural documents and identify potential issues.
• Understanding of performance and security in the enterprise context
• Strong hands-on experience with building enterprise applications
• Contribute to the continual improvement of our agile development processes
• Experience liaising with groups of people across several geographies
• Excellent communication and being a collaborative team player.
