Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Lead Software Engineer. The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust software systems to support clinical research objectives. Responsibilities include leading back-end web development projects, overseeing software development processes, implementing programming concepts such as Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and ensuring system efficiency, scalability, and security. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and innovative software solutions align with the company's initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of Computer Science principles and best practices
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including server-side design and implementation
- Experience in Software Development and Programming for creating efficient, scalable solutions
- Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) methodologies and patterns
- Ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with biostatistics, bioinformatics, or clinical research software is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining excellence in engineering practices
