As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the CORPORATE TECHNOLOGY, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and execute the DevOps vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor Application Development teams, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
- Collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure, security, and product teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient, reliable, and secure software delivery.
- Champion infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Architect and manage cloud-native and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or private cloud).
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery for mission-critical applications.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes to drive operational excellence.
- Integrate security best practices into DevOps processes, including vulnerability management and compliance automation.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps tools, processes, and methodologies.
- Drive adoption of best practices in automation, testing, and deployment.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Deep expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.), configuration management, and cloud platforms.
- Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go, etc.).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven track record in leading large-scale infrastructure projects and teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
