The
Lead Software Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality, high-performance software solutions for the Flow Cytometry instruments
.
This position reports to the Flow Software Manager and is part of the India Development Center Software R&D team located in Bangalore, and
will be an on-site role.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Develop instrument software within a collaborative team environment
- Execute all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements specification, design, implementation, integration, testing, and documentation, in compliance with company QMS procedures
- Take ownership of the design and implementation of software modules
- Gather inputs from stakeholders, develop concepts, and conduct feasibility studies
- Perform quality assurance activities such as risk analysis, technical reviews, and code inspections, and support software maintenance and enhancements
- Drive continuous improvement of software development processes
- Work in an iterative product release environment with a strong focus on quality and timely delivery
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in commercial software development, with hands-on expertise in C# or C++
- Strong understanding of software design principles, with the ability to work effectively as an AI-enabled senior developer
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams as a strong team player
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Software development processes in a regulated environment such as the life sciences / medical device domain
- Experience using MFC
- Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD
