As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team, you play a vital role on an agile team to design and deliver trusted technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You implement essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains and support network security functions to achieve the firm's strategic goals. You help foster a collaborative team culture and drive improvements in security risk posture.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute creative software solutions and automated testing frameworks across design, development, and technical troubleshooting
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability
- Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and emerging technologies
- Collaborate closely with internal network security product teams to deliver solutions that enhance the firm's security risk posture
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and five years applied experience
- Around 8 years of proven experience in full-stack software development using Java and Spring Boot technologies in AWS/cloud environments
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, and AWS Cloud
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and tools
- Experience building maintainable UI test suites with modern frameworks such as Selenium
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Git)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage software engineering teams
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline
- Proven record of providing enduser support with excellent problemsolving abilities.

- Experience working at code level
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, with a focus on Gen AI
