Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on Test lead with expertise in Web or Mobile ( Android / iOS ) testing
- Will lead end of end delivery of one or more products and will be responsible for its quality ( functional & non-functional)
- Will work closely with Product and Program teams , along with engineering teams to understand Requirements and develop test strategy and plans
- Will lead a team of SDET ( 3-4) and will own the go-live decisions
- Will author and review test cases and drive review by other stakeholders
- Will deploy best practices for test estimation and execution
- Will review testing progress and quality of test deliverables of the team
- Attend daily scrums and tracking QA progress for the projects and giving the consolidated updates to all stakeholders
- Proactively implement testing strategies to improve efficiency and better time to market
- Adopt test automation strategy defined and drive towards 100% automation for regression suites
- Conduct code reviews, provide guidance, and mentor team members
- Establish and maintain test data and test environment management processes to support efficient test activities.
- Monitor and analyze test automation metrics, track test coverage, and provide regular status updates to project stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in test automation, CI/CD practices, containerization and testing methodologies.
Key Skills
- Must have prior experience working as a Lead SDET for 2+ years and a cumulative SDET experience of 6+ years
- Should have led team of SDETs ( 3-4 ) to deliver successful products
- Proficient in java/Python as a programming language developing and maintaining test automation scripts.
- Should have used tools like charles-proxy, browser stack , lambdatest , pcloudy , headspin , etc
- Should have exposure to TestNg, Maven , Jenkins , Eclipse
- Should have worked with SQL / Nosql databases
- Should have used tools to mock data to aid testing
- Deep understanding of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills & the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive mindset, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and integrating test automation suites into the CI/CD pipeline is added advantage
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is added advantage
- Knowledge on Security Tools like Burp Suite, etc is added advantage
Mobile Apps
- Hands-on testing expertise in testing Native and Hybrid Mobile Apps ( Android & iOS)
- Should have exposure to performance testing of apps using any of the tools available
- Should have worked with automation frameworks for mobile automation - Appium or equivalent
Must Have: Native and Hybrid Mobile Apps ( Android & iOS), Rest API
Good to have: Selenium, Web automation
