Position : Lead SAP Functional Consultant (SAP SCM & Procurement)

Designation: Lead SAP SCM & Procurement Consultant

Experience: 10 - 12 Years

Location: Remote

Timings: 2PM - 11PM IST

Job Type: Contractor

Work Mode: Remote

Start Date: ASAP (Immediate Joiners are preferable)

Primary Skills : well versed with SAP SCM & Procurement (SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud)

Brief About the Role

The S/4HANA Public Cloud Procurement & SCM Configuration Lead is responsible for delivering endtoend consulting services for customers implementing SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. This role leads the ProcuretoPay (P2P) and Supply Chain Management workstreams, conducts fittostandard workshops, configures SAP Best Practices, and ensures successful deployment of SAP's Public Cloud ERP.

Required Skills & Experience

Functional Expertise

Strong knowledge of ProcuretoPay (P2P) and Supply Chain processes:

Purchase requisitions & orders

Goods receipt & inventory management

Supplier evaluation & sourcing

Service procurement

Subcontracting & consignment

MRP & basic supply planning

Experience with S/4HANA Public Cloud (preferred) or S/4HANA OnPremise Procurement/SCM

Familiarity with SAP Best Practices and Public Cloud scope items

Technical/Tool Knowledge

SAP Fiori apps for Procurement & InventorySAP Central Business Configuration (CBC)SAP Activate methodologyBasic understanding of BTP extensions, APIs, and iFlows
Preferred Qualifications

SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Public Edition) certification Sourcing & Procurement

Experience with multicountry or multientity rollouts

Exposure to SAP Ariba or SAP Fieldglass

Experience in consulting or professional services delivery

Key Responsibilities

1. Implementation & Solution Delivery

Lead FittoStandard workshops for Procurement, Inventory Management, and SCM processes

Configure S/4HANA Public Cloud scope items such as:

Procurement (e.g., J45, 1NN, 1NQ, 1Y2)

Inventory Management (e.g., 1XM, 1XN)

Supplier Management

Subcontracting, Consignment, Service Procurement

Drive configuration in SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC)

Support master data setup (vendors, materials, purchasing info records, source lists)

Execute SIT, UAT, and defect resolution cycles

Lead cutover planning, golive readiness, and hypercare support

2. Customer Engagement & Advisory

Act as the primary functional advisor for Procurement & SCM

Guide customers to adopt SAP Best Practices and avoid unnecessary customization

Translate business requirements into standard SAP capabilities

Conduct user training, enablement, and documentation sessions

Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and project sponsors

3. CrossFunctional & Integration Leadership

Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams

Support integrations with:

SAP BTP

SAP Ariba

SAP Analytics Cloud

Thirdparty logistics and supplier systems

Work with technical teams on APIs, iFlows, and extensibility options

4. Governance & Documentation

Prepare functional specifications for inapp and sidebyside extensions

Maintain configuration documentation, process flows, and test scripts

Ensure compliance with SAP Activate methodology

Support project management with status reporting and risk mitigation

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently in a remote/distributed team

Ability to work in agile, fastpaced cloud projects

Proactive attitude with ownership and accountability
