Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Lead ABAP Developer with over 10 years of hands-on expertise in SAP development. This role involves leading complex SAP technical solutions, driving architecture decisions, and mentoring development teams. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of SAP ABAP, S/4HANA, and modern SAP technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex SAP solutions using ABAP
- Architect scalable and high-performance SAP technical solutions
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and functional consultants to define technical requirements
- Develop and oversee RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)
- Drive code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices
- Lead SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and migrations
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers
- Review code and ensure compliance with development standards
- Handle integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, and OData services
- Troubleshoot critical production issues and provide long-term solutions
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery management
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 10+ years of strong SAP ABAP development experience
- Deep expertise in:
- Advanced ABAP programming techniques
- ALV Reports (OO ALV preferred)
- Enhancements (BADI, User Exits, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements)
- Forms (Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts)
- Data Dictionary (DDIC)
- Interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, RFC, Web Services, OData)
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA:
- CDS Views
- AMDP
- Code pushdown techniques
- Experience in SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD, EWM, or PP
- Strong debugging and performance tuning expertise
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 and Gateway services
- Experience with integration tools and middleware is a plus
