Job Description

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Design automation solutionsusing Python, Robot Framework, and Avalaras in-house automation tool (Studio).
  • Create efficient, scalable, and resilient workflowsto automate complex business processes within the Tax Filing ecosystem.
  • Lead a team of engineers, setting standards for code quality, test coverage, and automation design.
  • Contribute to all phases of the SDLC planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Foster aQuality First, Zero Defects cultureby promoting aShift Leftapproach and advocating for early testing practices.
  • Collaborate with team members and partners toevaluate automation opportunitiesacross different departments.
  • Conduct process assessmentsand translate them into clear, applicable requirements for automation development.
  • Provide ongoingsupport and maintenancefor automation solutions, ensuring they remain and performant over time.
  • Monitor solution performance, implementing enhancements or remediations.
  • Work with platform engineering, product management, and departmental teams to align automation efforts with our goals.
  • Communicate technical issues, and dependenciesto partners, ensuring transparency and agreement.

What Youll Need to be Successful

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experiencein designing and implementing automation solutions, withat least 1 years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
  • Expertise inRobotic Process Automation (RPA) toolssuch as UIPath, Robocorp, or Blue Prism.
  • Scripting skills in Python or Robot Framework; ability to guide best practices and code quality.
  • Solid experience withweb-based automation using Seleniumand integration of automation with web applications.
  • Proficiency in working withRESTful APIs, and handlingJSON and XMLdata formats.
  • Hands-on experience withCI/CD toolslike Jenkins or GitLab for automation deployment and version control.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies; within iterative,.
  • Experience withdriving efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvementin automation engineering.
