Job Overview :

This position is based in Chennai. The role will report to the Head of Operations, providing updates on progress and milestones.

 

Job Objective:

 

As an Assistant Research Manager, you will lead the content team, driving data-driven and analysis-rich deliverables aligned with business requirements. This role demands both thought leadership and subject matter expertise to ensure credibility and value at all stages. It also involves cross-border collaboration with leadership across the Data & Operations team.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the content team based in Chennai
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in Credit Risk Management, including Ratings
  • Regular Client engagement and advisory
  • Handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders in a professional and solution-oriented manner
  • Contribute to content team initiatives and improvements
  • Develop and optimize internal content processes and solutions
  • Monitor market conditions and developments in the data and information landscape
  • Collaborate with management to plan and execute yearly targets
  • Ensure data quality, depth, and overall database hygiene
  • Manage and be accountable for database administration
  • Understand, document, and prioritize business requirements
  • Ensure data security and confidentiality standards are upheld
  • Coordinate with other content managers regionally
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for using data to drive solutions
  • Collaborate with functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes .

  • Good negotiation, analytical, and research skills
  • Strong attention to detail with timely execution
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Project, Visio)
  • Effective time management
  • Self-motivated, energetic, with a can-do attitude
  • Adaptable to dynamic environments with maturity and flexibility
  • Solid understanding of financial statement analysis and data interpretation
  • Ability to manage pressure and multitask
  • Fluency in English

 

Preferred Experience & Background:

  • Minimum of 7+ years experience in research and team management
  • Background in research, consultancy, or financial services
  • Bachelor's degree in business (Master's degree is a plus)
