Summary
Q2 is seeking a Lead Release Manager to track all software releases and dependencies between unique release components from Engineering through Implementation. Manage consistent and timely software deliveries to internal Q2ebanking organizations. Manage a work queue of requests based on priority and project deadlines.
Lead RM should be able to streamline/automate end to end release for product without manual intervention.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with Engineering groups and monitor associated software release notes for all component parts of the Q2ebanking software solutions
- Establish Engineering completeness criteria including component dependencies to gate the delivery of releases into QA for testing
- Coordinate with QA group and monitor releases in testing
- Establish QA completeness criteria for release of successfully tested software component and their dependencies to gate the delivery of releases to Implementation groups
- Maintain release baselines (versions of all compatible solution components) and updates for new and existing external customers
- Serve as a liaison between business units to guarantee smooth and timely delivery of software packages to our Implementations and Support teams
- Promote updates to administrative Windows application in a Data Center environment
- Maintain records to identify cross-module compatibility of software versions
- Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
- Answer questions and serve as source of knowledge for application releases EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor's degree in related field and 9-12 years in a software release management role
- Experience managing, controlling and tracking releases with successful delivery
- Experience with and knowledge of the following concepts and technologies:
- Software Configuration Management
- Software Release Management
- Release notes and documentation processes
- Windows 7, Windows 2003/2008 Server
- SVN (preferred), GIT, and other Source Repository tools
- Salesforce or other Case Management software
- General knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) processes
- Manage multiple product releases in a fast pace environment
This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
