Job Title:Lead - Radio Planning

Location: Gurugram, Airtel Centre

Key Responsibilities:

• Coverage Planning – New Site Coverage Planning for 2G , 4G , 5G , USOF , MRO , MORAN

• Productivity Improvement via Automation & new tool support for new site deployment productivity track.

• AOP preparation, targeting better OPEX productivity and optimal CAPEX.

• New ways of working, Coverage solutioning in 4G / 5G.

Key Deliverables:

• New Sites planning, nominal validation using RF Tools adhering to Coverage Guidelines.

• Design/Deploy new Coverage solutions optimized for Cost & efficiency

• AOP preparation with CFT – Finance, Marketing and Technical teams.

• CAPEX/OPEX requirement evaluation and preparation of Coverage enhancement proposals

• Coordinate with Circle RF planning teams, Central stakeholders for all Planning deliverables

• Engage into special projects, Coverage enhancement drives with Circles

• Regulatory compliance support

Key Skills / Competencies:

• Radio Coverage planning using Planning tool like Atoll / Mentum Planet / Asset for Coverage Prediction, Frequency/PCI Planning, Model Tuning etc.

• In depth working knowledge Coverage planning for 4G/5G

• Exposure to Radio Network Optimization using Soft / Physical parameters.

• Good understanding of Site Rollout process – Planning, Deployment & TOCO engagement

• Exposure to Business case proposals, BOQs, CAPEX and OPEX components

• Clear conceptual understanding of RF principles, Call flow & link budget.

• Fair understanding of Network architecture, Radio Hardware & Antenna System principles.

• Expertise on MapInfo, Google Earth and other mapping tools for Coverage evaluation

• Hands-on experience of Data analytics using Python, Scripting models and Database management

• Good communication and presentation skills

Education/Experience/Certifications:

• B.Tech. / BE (E&TC)

• 8-12 years of work experience in Telecom Radio Network Planning, Design/Optimization

• Certification in 5G / Evolving technologies is good to have.

• Radio Coverage planning using Planning tool like Atoll / Mentum Planet / Asset for Coverage Prediction, Frequency/PCI Planning, Model Tuning etc.

• In depth working knowledge Coverage planning for 4G/5G

• Exposure to Radio Network Optimization using Soft / Physical parameters.
