We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Lead QA with 5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and a strong command of Playwright using Python for automation.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving automation strategy, creating robust automation frameworks, mentoring QA engineers, ensuring high-quality delivery of products, and collaborating closely with development, DevOps, and product teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright with Python for web applications and mobile apps.
- Develop and execute detailed test cases, scenarios, and scripts for both manual and automated testing.
- Lead efforts in functional, regression, integration, sanity, performance, and cross-browser testing.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other QA team members to understand requirements and translate them into effective test plans.
- Review and enhance existing automation frameworks, ensuring scalability and maintainability, Identify gaps and optimize QA processes.
- Perform regular maintenance of regression suites and ensure consistent execution.
- Document and track defects using tools like JIRA and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.
- Actively participate in code and test case reviews, contributing to product quality and team knowledge sharing.
- Promote and implement QA best practices, tools, and processes aligned with Agile methodologies.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to QA team members.
- Ensure quality gates, code reviews, and test coverage.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams for CI/CD integration.
- Prepare test reports, metrics, and documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in QA, with a strong foundation in both manual and automation testing. 3+ years leading QA, automation teams.
- Proven expertise in Playwright with Python for automation testing.
- Experience testing mobile and web applications, including responsive UI testing.
- Solid understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Browser Stack).
- Experience in setting up and executing parallel and cross-browser tests.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
- Cloud & container knowledge (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
