Role Summary & Role Description:

The Quality Assurance Officer is a senior quality leader with 10-14 years of experience, responsible for defining, governing, and executing end‑to‑end quality assurance strategies for enterprise applications, data platforms, and AI‑enabled solutions.

The role is positioned within Global Technology Services (GTS) and partners closely with AVPs, architects, engineering, and data teams to ensure solutions built using Java, Spring Boot, Databricks, Apache Spark, AWS, and modern AI technologies meet banking standards, regulatory expectations, and enterprise quality benchmarks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and own enterprise QA strategy across application, data, cloud, and AI platforms.
  • Ensure strict adherence to banking, regulatory, security, and compliance standards.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews to embed quality and performance by design.
  • Validate software design patterns, clean architecture, and engineering best practices.
  • Lead QA for Java / Spring Boot microservices, APIs, and cloud‑native applications.
  • Establish and enforce data quality frameworks, including accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, reconciliation, and anomaly detection.
  • Own QA for Databricks and Apache Spark pipelines, ensuring high‑volume, high‑performance processing.
  • Design and execute performance, load, and stress testing strategies.
  • Drive test automation across application, data, regression, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Define quality assurance approaches for AI and ML solutions, including training data quality and inference validation.
  • Provide clear quality metrics, risk assessments, and release readiness inputs to senior stakeholders.
  • Mentor QA team members and elevate overall quality maturity across the organization.

Core / Must Have Skills:

  • 10-14 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Testing roles within banking or regulated enterprise environments
  • Strong experience testing Java and Spring Boot applications and microservices
  • Hands‑on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark data platforms
  • Strong focus on data quality validation and reconciliation frameworks
  • Experience in performance testing, load testing, and system scalability validation
  • Ability to define and govern QA frameworks, standards, and controls
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD quality gates
  • Strong understanding of cloud‑native architectures and AWS environments
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills

Good to Have Skills:

  • Experience validating AI / Machine Learning solutions and data‑driven platforms
  • Exposure to data governance, metadata, and lineage frameworks
  • Experience with Linux environments and database testing
  • Familiarity with Agile / DevOps delivery models
  • Strong banking domain knowledge
