Lead Product Owner, Data Products

This position reports into Principal Solutions Architect, Global Data Products and is based in GCC, Bengaluru.

What You Will Do

As a Lead Product Owner, you will be responsible for leading the development and deployment of data-driven products powered by digital, artificial intelligence and analytics technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision, goals, and roadmap for Digital, Data and AI products that align with business objectives.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business units to understand their needs and translate them into clear and actionable product requirements.
  • Data Management: Oversee data collection, storage, and preprocessing to ensure data quality and availability for training and model deployment.
  • Machine Learning Models: Coordinate with data scientists and ML engineers to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that power AI data products.
  • Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development process, including design, development, testing, and deployment of AI data products.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and tracking mechanisms to measure the performance and impact of AI data products.
  • Product Iteration and Improvement: Continuously iterate and improve data products based on user feedback and performance insights.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends.

Required Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experiences with a Bachelor's degree; or 5 years and a Master degree in Business or Information management systems (MIS); or a PhD with 5 years of experiences in the field of Technology, Computer/Software Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics etc.
  • 3+ years of experience working in CPG/Retail industry and sound knowledge in business/data domains related to Customer, Product, Consumer, Finance etc.
  • Proven experience in product management, preferably with a focus on data-driven products and AI technologies.
  • Understand business requirements and translate to Conceptual (CDM), Logical (LDM) and Physical (PDM) data model by using industry standards.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts, algorithms, and model deployment.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and data-driven decision-making and proficiency in writing SQL Queries.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of data privacy and security considerations in AI product development.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience working in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Catalog and Business Glossary.
