The team is responsible for delivering a world-class search and discovery experience across Lowe's digital ecosystem. We help customers find the right products effortlessly through improved discoverability, optimized content, and best-in-class SEO practices.

I. Job Summary

The Lead Product Manager SEO is responsible for defining, developing, and executing Lowe's enterprise SEO strategy to improve organic visibility, customer discoverability, and overall digital engagement.

This role leads platform capabilities that optimize site architecture, enhance content relevance, and strengthen technical SEO foundations. The Lead PM collaborates with Engineering, UX, Merchandising, and Marketing to close discoverability gaps, build scalable SEO solutions, and drive measurable improvements in traffic, conversion, and customer satisfaction.

This is a highly strategic and influential role focused on accelerating Lowe's digital growth through a customer-first, data-driven approach.

Core Responsibilities

II. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision and roadmap for SEO capabilities, aligned with Lowe's digital strategy, customer needs, and business goals.
  • Lead the development, scoping, and prioritization of SEO initiatives including technical enhancements, content optimization, platform improvements, and cross-functional SEO programs.
  • Partner with Engineering to design and deliver scalable technical SEO solutions (e.g., site architecture, crawl efficiency, indexation, page performance, metadata frameworks).
  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, Content, and UX to optimize taxonomy, product/category content, and on-site experiences influencing SEO outcomes.
  • Analyze performance data and customer insights to identify trends, diagnose issues, and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Use experimentation and A/B testing to validate hypotheses and drive iterative improvements.
  • Establish and track key SEO KPIs and OKRs, leveraging them to guide decisions and communicate impact to leadership.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, SEO trends, and search engine algorithm updates to inform long-term strategy.
  • Serve as an SEO evangelist, educating cross-functional teams on best practices and the strategic value of organic search.
  • Drive operational excellence by improving SEO processes, workflows, and documentation for scalability and efficiency.
  • Identify and reduce SEO defects in partnership with Engineering, QA, and Content teams, ensuring ongoing compliance with SEO standards.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment and manage dependencies to deliver meaningful customer impact.
  • Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring SEO enhancements improve discoverability, relevance, and shopping experience.
  • Support and mentor junior Product Managers or analysts, fostering strong product thinking and SEO expertise.

III. Years Of Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in two or more of the following: product management, project management, program management, business analysis, experimentation, or product marketing.
  • 5+ years of experience in product and/or experience management.
  • Experience working in an agile software environment with strong product marketing and writing skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with senior leadership in large organizations.
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable decision-making.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

IV. Education & Certifications (Optional)

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications in Product Management, Digital Marketing, or SEO (preferred but optional).

V. Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (Must Have)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable decisions.
  • Hands-on expertise with SEO platforms/tools including Semrush, SEO Clarity, Google Search Console, and enterprise crawling tools.
  • Proficiency in digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
  • Experience with behavioral analytics platforms like Full Story.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing long-term strategy and rapid delivery.
  • Exceptional execution and delivery discipline with a track record of driving measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skillsverbal, written, and technicalwith the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and collaboration platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative, positive mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively with Engineering, UX, Merchandising, Marketing, and Content teams to deliver comprehensive SEO solutions.
