What you will be doing:
Lead a team of engineers building distributed systems for video transcoding, storage, and delivery.
Architected/Designed ==> cloud-first solutions for high-volume media processing (codecs like H.264/HEVC, protocols like HLS/DASH).
Partner closely with Cvent product teams to ensure seamless interoperability with internal services/consumers.
Work with Cvent's cloud storage strategy, prioritizing scalability, cost efficiency, and cross-platform compatibility.
Troubleshoot complex video issues related to encoding, streaming, recording and playback across different devices and platforms
Provide technical support and training on video technologies and best practices
Drive innovation in to create resilient, scalable media pipelines.
Foster a culture of technical excellence, mentorship, and operational rigor.
What You Will Need for this Position:
6+ years of engineering management experience leading infrastructure/platform teams.
Proven expertise in designing cloud-native distributed systems (e.g., microservices, serverless architectures) at scale.
Deep familiarity with video technology: codecs (HEVC, AV1), streaming protocols (HLS, CMAF), and open-source tools (FFmpeg, GStreamer).
Design and developed video media solutions using video processing tools and frameworks (FFmpeg, GStreamer, etc.), configuration of video encoders, as well as running standard quality measures such as PSNR, SSIM and VMAF .
Experience collaborating with product teams to deliver user-centric infrastructure solutions.
Passion for media technology and staying ahead of trends (e.g., 8K, AI-driven workflows).
