Job Purpose:

Sustainability Reporting / Disclosures and

  • To assist in assurance, rating of sustainability reports.
  • Driving and implementing identified gap internally to improve on ESG performance / rating of the company and to comply with domestic and international std (SEBI, GRI) of reporting
  • To assist in sustainability reporting with respect to other global frameworks like apart from GRI & BRSR.
  • To assist in analysing/ identifying climate risks and corresponding financial impacts affect a company's performance, and how the company impacts society and the environment.

Assisting in executing sustainability initiatives / Projects


  • Assist in identifying idea/initiative/project & establishing its relevance with ESG performance of organisation.
  • Assist in conceptualising idea/initiative/project end to end from technical & financial perspectives.

Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities

ESG Data Management, Reporting & Compliances

  • To assist in sustainability reporting with respect to other global frameworks like Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) etc apart from GRI & BRSR.
  • To assist in developing Double materiality aspect as per GRI framework which considers two perspectives: how sustainability issues affect a company's financial performance, and how the company impacts society and the environment.
  • To assist in third party assurance, rating of sustainability reports.
  • Driving and Implementing identified gap internally to improve on ESG performance / rating of the company and to comply with domestic and international std (SEBI, GRI) of reporting
  • Bringing in strong vision of Sustainability and suggesting meaningful changes internally to bridge the gaps which helps organisation for improved ESG ratings

Stakeholder Engagement


  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Refinery, Retail, Corporate functions etc) to gather inputs for ESG initiatives.

Sustainability Projects


  • Assist in identifying idea/initiative/project & establishing its relevance with ESG performance of organisation.
  • Assist in conceptualizing idea/initiative/project end to end from technical & financial perspectives in line with decarbonization strategy of the company.
  • Drive project implementation of approved projects with team support from respective business department
  • To assist in preparing proposals/presentations for management, Board Of Directors & their inputs on initiative/project.
  • To get update on the projects once approved for implementation from respective team & monitor the progress

Financial Overview


  • Build and present project ideas, pilot design, approach, business model economics, budgeting financing, taxation, ROI and benefit analysis. to relevant stakeholders
  • Analyze financial impacts of prevailed or upcoming government mandates related to ESG functions on organization
  • To assist in analysing/ identifying climate risks and corresponding financial impacts affect a company's performance, and how the company's governance structure can be improved and impacts on society and the environment.

Regulatory & Framework Alignment


  • Stay updated on ESG regulations and frameworks (e.g., SEBI BRSR, EU CSRD, UN SDGs).
  • Ensure compliance with internal ESG SOPs and external mandates.

Training & Awareness


  • Participate in ESG training modules and awareness sessions to build internal capacity.
  • Help onboard new joiners with ESG orientation materials.

Qualifications


Knowledge

Educational Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Graduate Engineer of any discipline + MBA in finance
  • Working experience in software tools would be added advantage

Skills


Functional Skills:

  • 10-12 years of working experience in a consultancy or industrial company (Chemical / Petrochemical)
  • Petrochemicals knowledge an advantage.
  • Awareness of ESG as a subject, GOI regulations etc
  • Hands on experience on ESG projects cycle & execution is added advantage.

Behavioural Skills:

Relevant Competencies:


  • Strong analytical and numerical reasoning skills
  • Good Presentation & Communication skills
  • Fluent in MS 365
  • Ability to operate independently under pressure
