Job Title:Lead - Library Engineer (PCB)

Location: Bengaluru

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead Library Engineer (PCB) to lead and support PCB library development activities. The role involves creating and maintaining highquality schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models while ensuring compliance with IPC standards and internal quality processes. The candidate will closely collaborate with USbased customers, PCB designers, and cross functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and maintain PCB libraries including schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and related metadata.
  • Create accurate footprints and symbols using Cadence Allegro as per IPC and customer specific standards.
  • Use Ultra Librarian Tool for component creation, validation, and vendor library management.
  • Review datasheets, land pattern recommendations, and mechanical drawings to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Perform peer reviews, quality checks, and audits of library components.
  • Support PCB designers by resolving libraryrelated issues and implementing ECOs.
  • Coordinate with US clients to understand requirements, clarify technical queries, and provide timely updates.
  • Maintain library documentation, naming conventions, and change control processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of library engineers, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to standards.
  • Plan, assign, and track tasks for the team to meet project timelines and quality goals.
  • Conduct technical reviews, performance feedback, and skill development activities for team members.
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and best practices across library development activities.

Required Skills & Tools

  • Strong handson experience with Cadence Allegro and other CAD Tools
  • Proficiency in Footprint Creation and Symbol Creation
  • Strong understanding of IPC standards (IPC7351, IPC2221, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly constraints
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with US customers

Desired / Added Advantage

  • Experience managing or maintaining a central/global PCB library
  • Exposure to component lifecycle management and vendor coordination
  • Experience mentoring or leading small teams
  • Experience using Ultra Librarian Tool

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or a related field
