Lead Java Developer

We are looking for a hands-on Development Lead / Technical Lead with proven expertise in Java, Microservices, and cloud-native platforms, along with strong retail domain knowledge in Order Management and Inventory Management.

Candidates are expected to possess a solid grasp of overall solution architecture and actively contribute across both technical design and functional solutioning.

The role calls for a blend of hands-on engineering, architectural accountability, technical leadership, and people mentorship, with proven ability to lead client-facing technical discussions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to design, develop, and deliver high-quality, scalable applications
• Take end-to-end ownership of solution design and technical architecture
• Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical solutions
• Identify impacts of new development on existing systems and manage dependencies
• Plan, estimate, and track delivery commitments; escalate risks proactively
• Conduct code reviews to ensure coding standards, performance, and security
• Proactively manage technical debt and drive continuous improvement
• Lead technical discussions and solution walkthroughs with clients
• Ensure best practices across DevOps, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and production readiness
• Build quick POCs, demos, and prototypes to support client requirements
• Provide regular feedback, mentoring, and performance guidance to team members
• Participate in interviews, hiring decisions, and team-building initiatives
• Contribute to organization-wide initiatives such as training, mentoring, and capability building

Core Technical Skills

7+ years of overall industry experience, with 2+ years in a Lead / Technical Lead role

Strong hands-on experience in Java and Microservices architecture

Expertise in Spring Boot (mandatory); exposure to Node.js is a plus

Experience with UI frameworks such as ReactJS or Angular

Strong knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases (MongoDB / Cassandra preferred)

Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend-backend integration

Experience leading DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments

Strong focus on code quality, design patterns, scalability, and performance

Cloud & Certifications (Mandatory)

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Cloud certification in AWS / Azure / GCP (mandatory)
