Lead Java Developer

Position- Lead Java Developer

Experience- 7 to 10 years

Location- Chennai (perungudi)

Skills-

. Overall relevant experience in Java development: approximately 711 years

2. Should ideally not have a break exceeding 3 months from their most recent engagement.

3. Core Technical Skills (Mandatory):

a. Java (7+ years preferred)

- Strong fundamentals and implementation experience

- Hands-on exposure to Java 8, especially Stream API and functional programming concepts

b. Spring Boot (around 5+ years preferred)

c. Microservices architecture (around 5+ years preferred)

d. JUnit and unit testing best practices (around 7+ years preferred)

e. Spring Data JPA (around 5+ years preferred)

f. Strong query-writing skills (around 5+ years preferred)

g. Experience with Hibernate Criteria Queries is a plus, but not mandatory

h. Experience with any major cloud platform (Azure / AWS / GCP) is an added advantage. Azure experience is preferred, but not a strict requirement

4. Leadership & Ownership (Mandatory):

Candidates are expected to have prior lead-level experience, with responsibilities including:

a. Ownership of assigned modules or components

b. Monitoring and tracking progress of team members

c. Mentoring and supporting junior developers

d. Conducting peer code reviews to ensure quality and standards

e. Client interaction, including requirement gathering and clarifications

f. Active participation in cross-module and stakeholder discussions

5. Hands-on coding experience is mandatory

6. Total hands-on coding experience: approximately 7+ years preferred

7. Should be currently involved in coding, not purely managerial
