Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Interior Designer to lead the interior design activities of non-complex projects within our design center. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering creative, functional, and client-centric design solutions aligned with architectural standards, building codes, and multidisciplinary requirements. You will contribute from concept to completion developing interior sketches, selecting finishes, and curating design elements such as furniture, art, accessories, and signage packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client discussions to determine design criteria, preferences, and budgets for non-complex interior design projects.
  • Develop interior design concepts and sketches, along with paints, fabric samples, and color palettes.
  • Prepare cost estimates and material requirements for various design options.
  • Refine design concepts into detailed drawings and reports.
  • Select and design furnishings, artwork, accessories, and internal signage packages.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines (Architecture, MEP, Electrical) to ensure seamless design integration.
  • Assist in value engineering and design optimization where needed.
  • Develop specifications for materials, finishes, lighting, furniture, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with project managers for client approvals and authority submissions.
  • Support quantity surveyors in preparing tender documents and BOQs.
  • Conduct peer reviews and ensure quality control of design deliverables.
  • Participate in site supervision as needed to resolve design issues and inspect finishing work.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in a leading regional or multinational consultancy or design firm.
  • Strong design portfolio showcasing a variety of projects and styles.
  • Deep understanding of interior design trends, global best practices, and sustainability principles (LEED knowledge preferred).
  • Excellent graphic and design visualization skillsfrom hand sketching to 3D animation.
  • Proficient in tools such as Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and 3D modeling software (3D Studio Max, VIZ).
