Description
The Lead Instrument Technician will oversee the instrumentation department, ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards and that the team operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of instrument technicians in the installation, maintenance, and calibration of instrumentation systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment.
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to identify and resolve instrumentation issues.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and calibration activities.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of process control and instrumentation systems.
- Experience with calibration of various types of instruments such as pressure, flow, and temperature.
- Familiarity with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
