We're Hiring: PostgreSQL Database Engineer

Location: Pune

Experience: 7+ Years

We're looking for a seasoned PostgreSQL professional to join our team as an Individual Contributor, driving the design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and performance of mission-critical PostgreSQL systems that power our corporate applications.

In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for development databases, collaborating with application teams, production support, and business stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing database environments. You'll handle large, complex, enterprise-level databases with confidence, while upholding IT policies, security standards, and best practices.

What You'll Do:

• Design & build physical database systems based on logical models
• Manage deployments, configurations, and security for PostgreSQL
• Act as primary contact for development database needs & incident escalations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, DevOps, and business teams
• Troubleshoot complex database issues & optimize performance
• Contribute to architecture decisions for on-prem & cloud-based solutions

What We're Looking For:

• 7+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL experience in enterprise environments
• Strong skills in database design, performance tuning, and security
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and Agile/Waterfall delivery models
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
