Job Description

Senior Role | 6+ years
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)
Role Term: 6-month contract with a clear path to a longer-term or permanent role

This is a core game development role focused on gameplay systems, player feedback, and live iteration not demo, simulation, or client-driven builds.

About ImmersiWorks:
ImmersiWorks is a gaming company building a new category of location-based, movement-driven games. Players use their bodies to play - running, jumping, dodging, and positioning in shared physical spaces - with gameplay projected across floors and walls and driven by real-world movement.

We are at a foundational stage, building the core gameplay platform and shared systems that will define both the product and the company. The studio is led by a gaming and product veteran with experience building games at Zynga.

We are a game studio. This is not an AR/VR services, XR demo, or simulation role.

The Role:
We're looking for a Lead Game Developer to build core gameplay engines and systems from the ground up using Unity. This is a hands-on, senior 01 role focused on gameplay feel, rapid prototyping, and building reusable systems that can support multiple games.

Visual polish comes later - early success is defined by whether the game feels fun, responsive, and reliable in real-world conditions.

Role Term & Growth:
This is a 6-month, hands-on role focused on building and launching the core gameplay platform as part of the early team. As the product scales, this role is expected to evolve into a longer-term or permanent position, with expanded ownership over gameplay systems, technical direction, and team leadership.

What You Will Own:
* Core gameplay loops for physical-world games
* Rapid prototyping and iteration based on player behaviour
* Reusable gameplay and interaction systems
* Translating player movement into clear, satisfying gameplay actions
* Integrating depth sensors and projection systems as gameplay inputs
* Designing for real-world constraints (noisy input, edge cases, reliability)
* Mentoring junior developers and owning early-stage execution

What This Role Adds to Your Career:
* Defining the gameplay DNA and technical foundations of a new game studio
* Deep exposure to movement-driven, physical-world game design
* Building a 01, scalable gameplay engine and platform
* Shaping systems and standards everything else builds on

Required Experience:
* 6+ years of professional game development experience (Unity-based)
* Strong C# fundamentals and gameplay-oriented systems thinking
* Experience building complete gameplay loops from scratch
* Experience building games with a live-ops mindset designing systems that support tuning, iteration, and player behaviour changes over time
* Strong understanding of movement, collisions, physics, and spatial transforms
* Strong player-first intuition for game feel and moment-to-moment feedback
* Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage ownership

Nice to Have:
* Exposure to depth sensors, projection systems, or AR pipelines as gameplay inputs
* Experience with location-based or physical-world games
* Strong intuition for character control, camera behaviour, and player input feedback
* Unity tooling or performance optimisation experience

How to Apply:
Apply via LinkedIn or email [Confidential Information] with your resume and links to games or gameplay systems you've built (if available).
