Role Purpose (Why do we need this role)
This Lead Finance / Assistant Manager Finance is responsible for Implementing & managing IFC, complying with all the statutory compliances (GST, Direct Tax, Income Tax, RBI, FEMA etc), and providing support for financial reporting and audits completion.
Role Accountabilities (What is this role responsible for delivering)
1. Financial Controls & Compliances
- Implement and maintain Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) in compliance with the Companies Act, 2013.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with Income Tax, GST, RBI, STPI, FEMA, and Company Secretary-related compliances (e.g., Board meetings, ROC filings, Secretarial compliances).
- Manage GST refund applications and ensure proper documentation and follow-up with authorities.
2. Financial Reporting & Audit Support
- Prepare accurate financial statements and schedules in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Coordinate and compile documentation for Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, and internal Audit requirements.
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Track Budget vs Actuals, analyze variances, and provide actionable commentary.
- Support cost optimization initiatives through financial analysis.
4. Business & Leadership Support
- Prepare and deliver MIS reports for leadership and business units.
- Develop and enhance scalable financial processes to support business expansion.
