Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants (India) Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead - Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to champion good working practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive environmental benefits across our operations. This role is crucial for fostering a safe workplace, minimizing environmental impact, and reducing our carbon footprint.
What This Job Involves:
EHS Program Management & Compliance
- Promote good working practices and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and workplace safety regulations.
- Stay abreast of persistent changes in health and safety obligations, both environmental and occupational.
- Manage the maintenance and implementation of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards, safety programs, compliance, and initiatives for designated regions.
- Implement OHSAS & EMS in client delivery centers in coordination with the workplace team.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 EMS, including HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment), OCPs, PPE, EMP, AIL, etc.
- Coordinate with internal functions regarding EHS external & internal audit findings and ensure corrective actions are taken at each location.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of EHS programs and procedures based on field operations, implementation, and contractor compliance.
Safety Standards & Risk Management
- Conduct Health and Safety Inspections and Audits to ensure compliance with the Company's HSE Policy.
- Direct management meetings and actively participate in decision-making to improve safe working conditions/practices and achieve optimum safety standards.
- Implement project-specific HSE plans to ensure safe working practices and adequate emergency response.
- Ensure safe methods and propose corrective actions by staff to monitor and improve safety standards in their workplaces.
- Conduct investigations for incidents and write comprehensive reports.
- Conduct regular audits of wellness rooms/clinics/ambulances and maintain accurate records.
- Identify legal and other EHS requirements applicable to the organization and ensure compliance with regulatory/legislative requirements and corporate directives.
- Monitor and measure EHS performance regularly, presenting reports on the EHS management system's performance to top management for review (MRM).
- Evaluate service providers pertaining to EHS clauses and prepare the Scope of Work for service providers.
- Evaluate all chemicals used at locations and ensure MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) are available.
- Ensure the calibration of wellness/safety equipment is carried out.
- Conduct and organize training and awareness programs on EMS, OHSAS, Incident Reporting, and Emergency Preparedness for employees and third-party vendors.
- Liaison with hospitals and consultants to provide premium healthcare for employees.
- Conduct Medical Emergency Mock Drills in coordination with the workplace team.
- Ensure risk registers are maintained at sites and appropriate risks are entered.
- Ensure EHS audits are carried out as per the program.
Employee Wellbeing & Sustainability
- Oversee People with Disability (PWD) Standards and First Aid Centre Operations.
- Manage Employee Wellbeing Services, including fitness events, employee health risk assessments, and employee assistance programs.
- Organize First Aid trainings, health talks, health camps, and blood donation camps for employees.
- Collate and analyze waste segregation data across PAN India client facilities.
- Identify sites and implement People with Disability (PWD) standards.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety Engineering, or a related field (such as Hospitality and Tourism Studies), OR Occupational Health with at least 5 years of related experience in environmental health and safety.
- Hands-on implementation experience with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
- Well-versed with OHSAS 18001:2007 & ISO-14001:2004 management systems.
- Experience with Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Environment Aspect/Impact (EIA).
- Proficiency in report writing skills.
- Experience in statutory compliances.
