Role Overview
BP is seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect Modern Device Management to design and lead next-generation device and end-user computing solutions. This role focuses on secure, scalable, and efficient management of physical and virtual devices, supporting BP's digital transformation and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
Device Lifecycle Architecture
- Define and implement end-to-end lifecycle management for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, meeting room equipment, and peripherals.
- Ensure alignment with business needs, budgets, and vendor capabilities.
- Architect solutions for procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Lead and optimize BP's VDI estate.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (WVD), Azure AD integration, and VM performance optimization.
- Implement security best practices including MFA and RBAC.
- Troubleshoot complex VDI, network, storage, and access issues.
Modern Device Management
- Establish best practices for provisioning, patching, security compliance, and automation.
- Drive adoption of modern tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Workspace ONE.
- Ensure high availability, security, and user experience.
Security, Safety & Compliance
- Define and enforce device security architectures, policies, and compliance standards.
- Promote operational safety and digital security across all solutions.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a hands-on technical leader and mentor.
- Work closely with IT, security, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Influence leadership and guide long-term technology strategy.
Essential Experience
- Enterprise-level architecture and system design for end-user computing.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM), SCCM, Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Proven experience managing large-scale VDI environments.
- Device lifecycle management with leading hardware vendors (e.g., Dell).
- Deep understanding of modern device management frameworks.
Desirable Skills
- Certifications: TOGAF, ITIL, PMP, AWS (preferred).
- Experience with sustainability-focused device management.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise security standards.
