Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer - Power System Study to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power systems and renewable energy, with a focus on simulation modeling and grid interconnection requirements. This role is crucial for analyzing grid solutions, designing and reviewing Balance of Plant (BoP) for wind power plants, and leading a team of engineers. You will be a key liaison with grid operators and customers, ensuring our projects meet all technical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Power System Modeling & Analysis: Develop and review electrical power system simulation models for wind and hybrid plants. Analyze site-specific grid interconnection solutions and ensure compliance with grid codes.
  • Design & Review: Design and review the Balance of Plant (BoP) for wind power plants. This includes substation engineering, load flows, short circuit analysis, and relay settings.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present findings to and conduct meetings with grid operators and customers for project-specific needs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers and trainees, providing guidance and technical mentorship.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Write and review reports, ensuring all documentation is accurate and thorough.

Qualifications

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Power System or a similar engineering specialization.
  • Proven relevant experience in power system studies within the renewable energy or power domain.
  • Experience in designing and reviewing renewable grid interconnection solutions.
  • In-depth exposure to Grid Codes and experience providing compliance for different TSOs.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as PSS/E, Power Factory, PSCAD, or ETAP.
  • Strong proficiency in English communication skills.

  • Technical Expertise: A solid electrical engineering background with expertise in substation engineering, transient analysis, harmonic assessment, and relay coordination.
  • Leadership: An innovative and results-oriented attitude with managerial and leadership exposure.
  • Project Management: Experience in efficiently managing projects, tasks, and guiding a team.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
