Lead Engineer

Job Overview

The Senior Lead Engineer - Services / Dev Leadwill be responsible for implementing and maintaining Majesco Insurance products that uses Dev-Studio toolkit as the development framework. Dev-Studio is Majesco's proprietary framework. Majesco has built this framework in house, using Oracle and many open-source software. The Dev-Studio is a low code development platform which provides environment for developers to create application software through graphical user interfaces and configuration instead of traditional computer programming.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Participating in requirements grooming session to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Designing functional modules and experience in analyzing, understanding, developing, and deploying insurance solutions.
• Understanding the Majesco Policy base system and its functionalities.
• Experience working on Majesco Base / Custom product development and delivery using DevStudio.
• Experience in Screens configuration, Rules configuration, IEL table creation, Uploading /Updating IEL table data, Rating, Tax/fees/surcharge, Product LOB setup, Forms/Document implementation, CP and TL Expressions in Dev Studio.
• Should have strong knowledge on Sql /PlSql Concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make sound recommendations.
• Ability to debug the application using debug panel or other debugger techniques in Majesco products.
• Addressing the stories, defects and Change requests and working closely with SA, BA and Testing team to implementing the requirements.
• Having good understanding of Insurance concepts and work streams.
• Delivery of work estimates for proposed changes, both small and large in scope.
• Driving the end-to-end delivery of the functionality until production release.
• Ensuring the processes and best practices are followed throughout the project.
• Review unit and integration testing scope for business requirements.
• Should have worked on SAFeAgile delivery model.
• Should have good communication and analytical skills.
• Experience in guiding and leading development team.
• Grooming the other team members.

Desirable Skills & Knowledge

Domain Exposure

Agile/Scrum Exposure

• Preferably, experience on SAFeAgile delivery model.
