JOB DESCRIPTION

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • YouwillberesponsibleforthecompleteProjectCycle,startingfrominputsanalysis,Design & Engineering,Testing&FactoryAcceptanceTest(FAT)followed bycommissioningasperrequirement.
  • Leading the engineering activity within a team of support engineers in terms of execution, planning and tracking progress and delivering the project withing allocated budget and agreed timeline.
  • ImplementDCSandSCADAbasedSolar/BESS greenfieldandretrofitprojects,Softwareand hardwareengineeringandconfiguration.
  • GuidingteamstoimplementcontrolsfromSAMA,functionaldiagramsorfunctionaldescriptionsmodificationsofDCS/SCADAgraphicscreationof faceplate macros, control macros and their testing.
  • CreationandmodificationofDCSinternalpointdatabaseextractionofHWIOlistfromcustomer drawings preparation of database querying with HW team and customer for any clarifications needed.
  • Distributingtheengineeringworkto the team and systemintegrators,makingadequatefollow-upfor completion of the project within budget, on/before time and with quality.
  • Ability to read electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), and switchboard control logic drawings Should have experience with a variety of equipment and devices used in the renewable power plant,includinginverters,transformers,capacitorbanks,Trackers,electricalequipment,IEDs,etc
  • Faultdiagnosis of DCS system,network system,and various communication interfaces like OPC, Modbus, DNP3, serial, IEC 61850, etc. Collaborating with the engineering team to solve HW/SW issues (e.g. controllers, modules, link modules etc.).
  • Understanding of industrial standards like IEEE, IEC, NEC, and Grid codes. Experience on PSCAD, DiGsilent Power Factory , PSSe etc simulation software shall be preferable.
  • Solar/BESSplantcommissioningforcommercialoperationTraveltoprojectsitesforsite assignments, testing and tuning of various electrical control functions, for third-party communication and for commissioning.
  • Customer facing and preparation of site report.
  • Previous knowledge and experience on digital and AI based solutions shall have added advantages.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Degreeorequivalentexperience'inEngineering(Electrical,Control&Instrumentation,Power Engineering)

  • Seven (7)to ten (10)yearsofProvenexperienceinDCS&PLCprogramming/ Engineering/commissioning

  • Abilitytowritereports&businesscommunication!!
  • Excellentcommunicationskills!!
  • Abilitytoefficientlypresentinformationandrespondtoqueriesfromgroupsofmanagers, clients, and customers

  • Shouldhaveagoodunderstandingofsafetytoolsandgearsandsafetyguidelinesofworkingat site

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • ProficiencyinSolarandBESSpowerplantoperation.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment like switchboards, generators, turbines, AVRs, motors, transformers, capacitors, Current Transformers, Voltage Transformers, feeders, meters, relays.

  • KnowledgeinCprogramming
