Job Description

An experienced engineer with 58 years of expertise in connectivity technology validation, responsible for performing requirement analysis, design, and testing across firmware, core stack, and middleware layers. The individual leads module-level quality, performs root cause analysis, and provides technical mentoring to junior staff. Proven ability in post-silicon bring-up, system-level debugging, and low-level connectivity standards such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and Ethernet on embedded platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform requirement analysis and feasibility studies at the system level with risk identification and effort estimation.
  • Design, implement, test, and debug post-silicon test frameworks and validate connectivity features across multiple layers.
  • Ensure traceability from design to delivery and contribute to code quality through optimization, coverage, and reviews.
  • Own technical deliverables, conduct peer code reviews, and define test and validation strategies for silicon platforms.
  • Identify training needs, lead capability-building efforts, and mentor team members on best practices and technology trends.
  • Participate in organizational and project-level technical initiatives and deliver technical training as planned.

Education & Experience

  • Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent in Electronics, Computer Science, or related domain
  • Experience: 58 years in connectivity protocol validation, embedded systems, or post-silicon testing

Core Competencies

  • Connectivity Protocol Expertise: Hands-on validation and debugging of one or more of the following:
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, USB, Ethernet, Zigbee, Z-Wave
  • Platform Experience:
  • Embedded Linux, RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Nucleus), proprietary embedded operating systems
  • Development Tools:
  • Protocol sniffers and analyzers (Wireshark, Ellisys, etc.)
  • JTAG debuggers, trace tools, and post-silicon debug utilities
  • Compilation toolchains, hardware bring-up workflows
  • Programming Skills:
  • C, C++, Java with emphasis on low-level hardware interfacing and debug hooks
