Lead Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Lead Engineer with hands-on experience in the drone industry to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and testing advanced multi-rotor and VTOL drones. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and leadership capabilities to guide a small but fast-moving engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead the design, development, and testing of multi-rotor and VTOL drone systems.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration of hardware, software, and control systems.

-Develop and maintain software using Python and other relevant programming languages.

-Oversee prototyping, flight testing, and iterative design improvements.

-Ensure safety, performance, and reliability standards are met throughout development.

-Document processes and maintain technical records for future scalability.

Required Qualifications:

-34 years of hands-on experience in the drone/UAV industry.

-Proven experience building and testing multi-rotor and VTOL drones.

-Strong programming skills, especially in Python (C++, ROS, or similar languages is a plus).

-Understanding of drone flight controllers, autopilot systems (e.g., PX4, ArduPilot), and telemetry systems.

-Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a startup environment.

Preferred Skills:

-Experience in CAD for drone frame design.

-Familiarity with drone regulations and flight certifications.

-Team leadership or mentoring experience.
