Job Description

  • Endurance to work with high workloads and precise methodologies.
  • Knowledge of BMW data related to the entire vehicle development process.
  • The role involves in management of process chain teams including problem analysis and development of manufacturable solutions from concept to series release for the respective component scope.
  • If design changes are required: Implementation of the component changes in CATIA, execution of the change management process up to the release of the CA models in the BMW systems.
  • The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise CAD -CATIA V5 design concept 2D / 3D / Mockup
  • In your daily work, you will find yourself in an global and interdisciplinary environment with an agile mindset.

What should you bring along

  • Min. 5 years of experience in automotive industry in Roof System equivalent qualification as CAD technician with relevant experience
  • Experience and deepen knowledge problem analysis and development of manufacturable solutions from concept to series release for the respective component scope.
  • Proven experience with CAD packaging, layout creation usingCATIA V5.
  • Knowledge about Design, Manufacturing of sheetmetal, plastic parts.
  • Extensive knowledge of design release system.
  • knowledge ofAutomotive standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and mentor.
  • Knowledge of BMW work environments is advantageous (PRISMA, NextOne, PQM, IRAM)
  • Business fluent knowledge of English (written and spoken)

Must have technical skill

  • Proficiency in dealing with cross functional team, manufacturing solution.
  • Skill in material Selection & compatibility.
  • Knowledge of series production & releases.

Good to have Technical skills

  • Lean manufacturing & DFM
  • Problem solving mindset.
