Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for BESS and solar inverter technologies, providing technical authority and guidance across projects.
- Develop and maintain electrical design standards and best practices, including system architecture, SLDs, schematics, and power conversion integration.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, grid standards, and safety regulations (IEEE, IEC, UL, NEC/NERC) for energy storage and inverter systems.
- Lead technical reviews and optimization of electrical designs, equipment specifications, and performance requirements for utility-scale BESS and PV inverter systems.
- Support commissioning, testing (FAT/SAT), and performance validation to ensure systems meet operational, reliability, and performance targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, quality, operations, and vendors for integration and execution excellence.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex electrical/system issues, offering corrective guidance and solutions.
- Prepare and review technical documentation such as specifications, reports, technical evaluations, and design validation documentation.
- Provide strategic input on technology evaluation and supplier selection, including due diligence on inverter/BESS components and solutions.
- Communicate technical recommendations and risks clearly to senior leadership and multi-discipline teams to influence decisions and ensure project success.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- 5 years of experience in Project Execution environment or working experience in EPC organisation
- 10 + years of electrical engineering experience, with substantial exposure to renewable energy systems such as BESS, solar PV, power distribution, or power electronics.
- Hands-on experience in project execution across design, installation, testing, and commissioning of BESS and solar inverter systems on utility-scale or commercial projects.
- Proven ability to review and approve electrical designs (SLDs, schematics, protection schemes) and ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes and industry standards.
- Strong competence in troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical issues on-site, including root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
- Experience coordinating with project teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to manage schedule, quality, and delivery throughout project lifecycle.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes relevant to energy storage and inverters (IEEE, IEC, UL/NFPA, grid interconnection standards), ensuring safety and regulatory compliance
- Knowledge on developing training materials and giving training to Engineers / Customers
- Knowledge on Software Tools (Autocad, PVSyst, etc
- Working experience up to at least 33KV
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
