Job Role : Lead Electrical Engineer - Charging Infra
What is to be done
-Design, build and bring into production charging station hardware for use with Ultraviolette vehicle platforms.
-Define, design, and validate the charging station architecture, components, charger/rectifiers, and system integration.
-Collaborate with firmware, mechanical engineering, PCB design, sourcing, quality, compliance, and manufacturing teams.
-Responsible and own complete hardware design from conceptualization to testing and production.
-Responsible for setting up the manufacturing processes and support manufacturing of stations.
-Responsible for supporting sustenance teams for charging stations on the field, including failure analyses.
-Prepare and keep up to date the documentation related to design and development, as well as effectively communicate technical and non-technical information to relevant stakeholders.
-Build intellectual property and reduce these into practice.
What is required
-Commitment and passion towards all things engineering, in general, and electrical/electronics engineering, in specific. Drive towards creating new ideas and bringing them to practice.
-Strong work ethic, bias towards action, and readiness to be outside own's comfort zone.
-Strong understanding in electrical engineering, switchgear design, wire/cable design.
-Strong understanding in electronics engineering, RF and high-speed design, hardware development, schematic capture, and PCB layout design.
-Strong skills of debugging and failure analyses.
-Experience in design for manufacturing, assembly, field installation, commissioning, and service.
-Basic understanding of power conversion systems used in battery charging.
-Experience with functional and other testing such as Hi-Pot/IR, ground bond, thermal testing.
-Hands-on experience with software tools for circuit simulation (LTSPICE), PCB Design tools (Altium, Cadence).
-Create documentation related to design, testing, and manufacturing.
-Perform and support, as needed, RCA at R&D, manufacturing, and at site.
-Expect travel for 10-20% of the time within or outside Bangalore.
-B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc or M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc in Electrical Engineering + 2 years or more of relevant hands-on hardware experience.
