Job Description: Lead Designer
Primary Skills: Creative visualization, including expertise in leveraging Generative AI tools for media production; Good communication skills.
Secondary Skills: Animation, eLearning industry experience.
The Design Team lead manages a team of Designers who execute eLearning/online learning projects and provide creative direction while adhering to customer-specific requirements. The team leader should have the ability to deep dive into incoming requests and escalations and prioritize work for his/her team. Furthermore, the team leader is expected to set the standard for incorporating emerging technologies, particularly demonstrating expertise in leveraging Generative AI tools for efficient and innovative media creation within project execution. The candidate should also understand different learning content formats like microlearning, gamification, interactive videos, decision making, mobile learning, etc.
Experience:
- Should have 8-10 years of experience, knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Animate
- The candidate should have very strong conceptual skills and superior hands-on design skills in graphics and interactive projects, UI design, and mobile, with a constant focus on exploring and updating themselves with emerging creative trends.
- Proficiency in Visual Design and its principles (Typography, Composition, Scale, and Color Theory, amongst others, etc)
- Experience in leveraging AI tools for media generation (e.g., images, video, text) and integrating AI-generated assets into design projects.
- Generate ideas and concepts that are clear, communicative, and visually engaging
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team - ID, Animator, Vendor, PM, Design team
- Strong communication skills: English language knowledge, verbal and written, both
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development and team operations; handle design processes and related tools, proactively engaging the manager and stakeholders.
- Identify improvements to processes and contribute to root cause analysis, with a focus.
- Assist in the implementation of new design processes to support business initiatives.
- Initiate collaboration with peers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure high quality.
- Regularly communicate to internal /external stakeholders with a data-driven approach/design rationale, and resolve issues with minimal guidance.
Skills
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Flash/Animate, After Effects, Premiere, Adobe XD/Invision
- Expertise and practical experience in utilizing Generative AI platforms (e.g., for images, video, and text) to accelerate and enhance design production workflows.
- Good leadership and strong communication skills : English language knowledge, verbal and written, both
- Training and mentoring other visual design team members
- The ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in designing tools and knowledge of various platforms (desktop and mobile) is required
Qualification and Experience
- Design degree (BFA/MFA) or equivalent field
- Diploma/certification in Web Designing or Multimedia
- Experience in the eLearning industry or a related creative discipline
- Proven experience in managing design projects that successfully integrate AI-generated media for enhanced content quality and efficiency
